I'm looking to rewire my Power Tele, this time without the Fishman piezo in the bridge. However, rather than having the standard Strat type wiring, I'd like to instead have the neck/ bridge (the inbetween on standard Teles) in place of the neck/ middle position. Anyone have a handy, simple diagram for this?

If you don't mind somewhat confusing switch positions, just swap bridge hot and middle hot. You'll get:

neck
neck+bridge
bridge
bridge+middle
middle

If you want instead:

neck
neck+bridge
middle
bridge+middle
bridge

then I suspect you'll need to get a different selector switch.

Lots of ways to go there. CC could make some awesome schematics on this deal !

I think I have read where they wire it so the middle doesn't have a "combined" position ( as some don't use that anyway for the Strat sound which is hard to believe !) and get the neck/ bridge in there. Swap the middle and neck lead on the switch I believe.

1 - bridge
2 - bridge+neck
3 - neck
4 - neck+mid
5 - mid

I added a p/p pot to mine so have the standard Strat-O-Tone and then can add the neck to the bridge or have all three...........7 way !!
