Blackpoole Content

Hey Fellas,

Thought I would share what I got in the mail today. I will be posting picks of my new Blackpoole Tele. It's dakota Red and the Allparts neck is very cool.

I won't be fully assembling it right away because I'm waiting for some Don Mare 0038's to show up. It may take awhile. Trust me.. The waiting game is no fun at all!

In the meantime, I thought I would show off some pictures of what I found inside the box!

Keep us posted on how it plays when you get it all together. I graduate college in February and if I get a job right away a kit from them with some Fralin pickups may be a little treat for myself....!

That's REALLY cool looking! I like that color for a relic. You could mount the nut, keys, and neck. How long could some pickups take?

I LOVE that wiring harness. It was a HUGE time saver, and its the first tele that I've had with the volume roll off that doesn't cut highs.

Chet,

I will be putting it together as much as possible over the weekend. I will of course take pictures. My first task is sticking a decal on the headstock. Then I'll start putting everything else together. I'm very happy with this guitar so far. I can't believe the price. Very reasonable. This guitar is going to be very nice.

I'm just waiting for some Don Mare pickups. Apparently, it takes a long time to get them. Since I live in Canada... I'm sure it will take longer!

Yeah, I've started putting mine together. Pretty cool. I think I'm going to need a new nut. I think I messed mine up. But that's small potatoes. Everything has been really good so far.

I've ordered a tele body from Andy at Blackpoole. It was an ebay auction BIN, but even still Andy has been emailing me back and forth about tweaks I wanted done. I was wondering if it would be much trouble to add a humbucker neck route for a fat tele. With my permission, he tossed out the ebay sale and ordered me a new body already routed for a humbucker neck. He sent me pictures of the raw body that's 4.2 lbs of swamp ash with some nice looking grain, made some suggestions on the amount of finish and relic, and listened to my input on what I was looking for. Its still in the process of being finished but if the product is anything like the customer service, I don't know how one cannot be happy.

When its finished, I'll post detailed pics and a review. however, I only ordered a body to go with a Gibson spec Warmoth Tele neck.

Here's the raw body.

PS: I've seen some threads where new posters here like myself have been accused of being Blackpoole shills. While new here, I'm not new to various boards or gear-whoring in general. You can find me all over like the Gear Page, Birds and Moons, HC, Duncan Forums, etc. if you want to verify I'm TC and not a Blackpoole shill.

Hey,

You will be pleased. Don't worry abou those other posts. As I just received my guitar from Andy, I can assure you.. You will be very happy. I can't believe mine. It's freaking awesome. I messed up the nut on mine, cause I didn't know what I was doing and without asking he's sending me another! I'm like what?! Sure! Thanks Andy.

I had my eye originally on a Fender Road Worn. But I can tell you.. I'm very glad I went with this kit. Not only is it nicer IMHO. I'm learning stuff I would never normally get a chance to learn about putting one together! Very happy!

Now if those pickups would just hurry up!

Wow! I was emailing Andy about one of my projects including Blackpoole parts. His return email shows some AWESOME stuff that he's working on.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey-

Yup. Just did a hardware set and some Bigsby's. See Here: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Blackpoo...__W0QQ_armrsZ1

PS: Checkout the B7. It went onto a 1952 Les Paul a client just bought from the Les Paul Estate for $300k! It is one of the first Les Pauls ever made and rare. It had holes for a B7 drilled in it and he wanted the B7 installed so the holes were not visible.

I had to match the level of wear on the hardware from photos of the guitar. The guy flew here from London to pickup the guitar and the B7 last week. HUGE Collector. BTW, check out the relic level on the LP from natural wear. Insane.

The guy was floored with how well it matched we're doing another B7 for Duane Allman's LP, another one in his collection. Gave me permission to post the LP photos, too!

We're close to launching the web store, too. TONS of new stuff, custom orders, parts, etc.

Have fun,
Andy

Yeah, some neat stuff there. I don't know about you, but I can't wait till they get their website up and running. I've been logging in every once and a while, checking to see if they launched their website.
