WOW! Their Ebay store is really cool! http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Blackpoo...__W0QQ_armrsZ1
I have my guitar together and it is FANTASTIC! I have been really busy. I'll get pics up very soon. |

I see they bumped their website "grand reopening" again. Still feeling that 90% of blackpoole fans on the guitar sites are actually blackpoole doing self promotion. There's no way 59tele on the SD board is a real person, relicfan from TGP either. They only post about blackpoole stuff with tons of photos from ebay auctions and conveniently answer everyones questions with "andy told me that....". I apologize Chet but for this "andy" being so busy, nobody has posted pics of a completed guitar in its home "environment" on any gear site and those hyping it are a little over the top for grimy asian wood products that look filthy, not relic'd. sorry for being the bummer, but that's just my opinion, I hope your guitar remains as fantastic as you say and you play the heck out of it (and post sound clips) |

Hmmm...
Well, I can tell you that I'm a real person and in no way affiliated with Blackpoole. Now, I just ordered a kit from them and I will be sure to keep you all informed on how it all goes. Like I've said in other posts, so far as I can tell everything has been good so far. I haven't yet received anything so I can't speak to the quality or anything else... yet. But I will.
I live in Canada just like you and it would be a far stretch for me to be affiliated with some guy in New Jersey or wherever these guys are from. So far I have no reason to believe anything is out of sorts with my dealings with this company. I'm sure there will be pictures soon from other guys who've put their guitars together. Anyways... I can't wait to see Chet's pictures. Russ |

Davy2466 did in another thread. I posted 4 or 5 using my cell phone. The peghead tip is on my coffee table on a green towel , lol so that I don't scratch it. Also, I plan to post better pics. This has been a hellish month for me with my wife's surgery, dog hit by a car, court depositions, WORK, and a court hearing tomorrow as well. I WILL get pictures up. It just might take a few days to get to it. |

I just ordered one of the oly white body kits posted on page 1.
I plan to make it a fat Tele with a black pickguard and an aged nickel humbucker, probably a Duncan Antiquity. I already ordered a rosewood Warmoth neck in vintage tint to put on it because I'm a Gibson player whose always wanted to love Fenders but never could get used to the neck. So my Warmoth is a 24.75 conversion with a 12" radius and a 59 roundback. Try and make it feel and play more like a Gibson, but sound closer to a Fender. Love the Tele look. |

My hat's off to all the TDPRI vendors who stepped up to the plate and paid to get in the Vendors Forum. Marketing their goods and services to us on the up and up instead of using underhanded methods and spamming the forums with shills. My dollars are going to the legit TDPRI vendors who support TDPRI. Thanks guys. |

So, how comfortable are you with the pickups?
I have a set of "modern vintage" set in my SX-Tele . . they are great. Maybe you consider some push/pull pots to change to parallel or single mode . . worth a try and not altering the guitar's appearance.

I'm leaving them with standard controls. The volume pot has a treble cap that maintains the highs if the volume is backed down. I built an esquire a while back with the Modern Vintage pickup, wired parallel-split-series on the switch. I'm really starting to dig GFS stuff, especially for the money. |

Those really do look nice for the price. Seems awfully cheap, really!

Yes, Mine is together. It is quickly becoming my favorite guitar, I think. I bought a custom alligator G&G case for it with a gold lining. I just got back in tonight from a Beach vacation with my family. I'll try to get finished pictures up soon. |
