Very soulful, that's an interesting strumming technique she's got, throwing in a little lick once in a while. And check out the Rickenbacker her backup guitarist is playing...very cool.

In a way she reminds me of Robert Cray, or maybe that should be the other way around. I know a strat player.

That's Gatemouth Brown with the Rickenbacker. He led the house band on that TV show.

Something about her face reminds me of Hendrix. Anybody else see that?

I know exactly what you mean, but it's not just her face I think...also her swagger and relaxed, funky rhythm. She pulls off that sweet little lick early on, I was hoping for a solo! But that was probably considered inapropriate for a lady at that time...I bet she could probably wail with the best of them if she wanted to!

Great vid, thanks to OP for that!

Yeah. That is awesome. It's Barbara Lynn's posted on here a few times. That's a nice song and a nice pink strap haha.

Yeah so she plays a Stat most of the time....she could play a First Act and still rule!

I've seen her a couple of times in recent years and she never dissappoints. Check her out if you get the chance!

check out the wear from her thumbpick just above the pickguard ...it looks similar to a Roadworn, except the wear is a lot heavier ...

Those were the days. No OD pedals, no cascading gain stages. Just soul, chops, and showmanship.

There are several clips of her on Youtube and some recent one's also. She seems to play a Strat these days and she really seems to know her chops..but I guess so after all these years of playing.

Something else...she really has a good voice to match her playing..damn shame she's not putting out new songs.

Nice! Either she's got enormous hands or those necks are really small. Did you notice how she had her hands wrapped around that neck?
