Did I make the right choice?
As I said in a previous thread, I had played a ton of teles. I was all set to order a road worn from zzounds this morning (blonde/maple) for $650 and noticed the '52 AVRI Hot Rod in black was available for $1279 so I scooped that up instead.
I have only played one AVRI Hot Rod and it was a while ago - I seem to remember it playing / sounding very good. I was basically in the market for an ash tele with vintage bridge and a modern radius and/or frets to go with my am. std. strat. For those who have played both, did I make the right choice? I'm a little nervous because I spent double the amount on the AVRI vs. the road worn. But I have 30 days to try it / return it if I want. |
