This is great a '72 Tele Custom with original case and tags... Nearly 4k (UK Sterling) or $6,431 but she looks great! I am a little envious of this one.. not often that happens!.. I am thinking investment..better than money in the bank!?!? I wonder whether my wife will go for that angle..

I don't usually comment on pricing, but that's just comical. Can't make out the humbucker stamp, and they don't post the pot codes, but it's very late 72 or early 73. That guitar has no less than seven date codes on it. I've always been suspect of the originality of flat topped knobs on these but I can't imagine why they would have been changed on this example.

The seller is a well known vintage guitar store in London so It's probably totally legit, just WAY overpriced IMHO.

Looks beautiful and bone stock, and I can't speak to prices in the UK, but in Houston, $3K is strong money for that guitar. $6,431 seems just crazy.

From what I can see thats a great example of an early custom.

Don't know about the price - there's not so many of them turned over on e bay anyway. I remember one around about three years ago (black version) - I bid to 1000stg and it sold for slightly more.
