Ice Blue Metallic Tele is ready to go to Idaho

So my seven year old niece is getting an early birthday present from Uncle Bob. I got a basswood body from Kevin, a WD neck and used a bunch of spare parts. The paint is ReRanch ice blue metallic. Maybe not my best job, but it came out OK. I have it set up to be tuned down a step - she will capo at the second fret to play it.

She almost got a relic. I had a couple of sand throughs (I tried for a real thin finish just for practice). Resparayed the whole thing. (Easier than getting spot repairs even on mettalic paint.) I thought of explaining to her, "You don't want a shiny, new one. It look better beat up like this." I'm pretty sure she would figure Uncle Bob was crazy. As it is, there are a couple of spots on the back were the soldering iron slipped when I was installing the string ferrules.
