I think we all just need to spin that CD a few more times. It may not be the best lyrically at times, but it still a great album as a whole.
Yes I do miss the spirituals. But Glory Glory, Hallelujah we have a good album that although not as 'good' as his more down home, less money in his checking account writing, the CD has innovations and words that would still make a grown man sigh. We all just need to step back and see what is it at BP Towers that they wanted to accomplish and let us know. |
