I was just down Bill Crook's today. He had some tasty looking guitars there at some point of construction. Got to see Seymour Duncan's personal Buck-o-caster Esquire that looked near finished. Man, I love going down there. I always see something new, and Bill is always looking for new ways to set his guiatars off from the rest.

That red one looks reeeeal good, Mojocaster...

that looks like it should be a decent enough guitar

you gotta like those Adder neck pickups

that is about all I ever use on mine

nice score!

Thanks Bucko! I will probably change the bridge pickup, but I will give this one a shot first before making a decision. The Adder is not going anywhere

+1 on the Adder... +1 on also changing out the Kinman Broadcaster. I had one in my Buck-o-caster I had ordered.... it didn't last too long. The pickup is brittle to my ears. But, hey, you may like it. What the hell do I know?

I have never been a Kinman guy. I guess my ear doesn't care for the ones I have tried, at least. But I'll give it a fair shot.

My personal favorite so far has been the Adder neck and the Voodoo bridge, w/ a push pull boost and a 4-way switch I had on a Crook T... I made a couple of videos of it, too. That guitar I should never have sold.

Beautiful! The only thing paisley I'm getting is a cool silver/black paisley pickguard I just got, waiting for the right body/build!

BTW: When do we get to hear that cool Grosh carved top?

OH WOW!! that's absolutely gorgeous man! i can't believe it, that's the Crook i'd always wanted!! I had the idea a long time ago that, if i could ever afford it, i'd get a red and silver crook.

I love the matching headstock and silver binding. Totally fantastic.

Just for comparability's sake i'd love to see what a red and gold sparkle crook would look like

Enjoy it man, i'm uber jealous!

Joel

The BEST "tele" style guitar I've ever played was a Crook "Choco-Paisley". There are few guitars that will stick in my memory as I get older, and this Crook tele is one that will. Plus, Bill is a GREAT guy to talk to (besides doing amazing work).

Mojo: I've been of the grid on the guitar boards for a while, but its good to see you havn't lost your knack for acquiring fine guitars. Its but fun to watch your heard of gits morph into nothing short of some outstanding instruments.

Looking forward to the review of this one.
