wall mount stands/multi stands

Hey guys...my parents are building me a new room so my new brother can have my old one, and we want to wall mount my guitars(I have four right now) to save space on the floor and make things more conveinient. Are there any places that sell muli-guitar wall mounts? Or what do I need to make one? Thanks...

String Swing

Mount one for each guitar. Find the wall studs, don't use wall anchors. I have twelve hanging around my house, they work great.

Wall-mounting guitars rules! Not only musical tools, but now part of the decoration! (sorry I'm of no help at all :D )

I use the string swing

they are great. You can hang the guitars on an angle, for some variety.

String swings are the way to go, but I disagree with Mike D. about anchors. I use self-tapping wall anchors (no drilling) that hold 50 pounds, and have never had a problem. Unless you are going to hang your brother on the wall you should be good to go!

Slatwall w/String Swings

It is a GREAT way to go. Got mine from Mars when they went out of business. It ain't cheap though. Unless, you can find a retail store that has gone out of business and the landlord will let you take it down. They almost always throw it away when they remodel for the new tenant.

But don't use any shelves like I did, they collect all kinds of stuff and is an eye-sore to look at.

String Swing

http://www.stringswing.com - all of their hangers can be made for screw mount, slatwall, or pegboard.

Here are pictures of my stuff hanging around: http://www.hackolutions.com/gear.htm

Cheapskate solution

I got some hangers from Home Depot that work great. I think they were by the shelf brackets. They have a coated "U" shape part that fits around the headstock, and at the bottom of the "U" is a threaded portion. They were less than $2 each. I just screwed them into studs in the wall and they've done fine.

String Swings

I'll be hanging #4 if I ever finish building it.

I try for a stud but use the included anchors if no stud is close enough. Either works well but given the option I always choose a stud mount for anything on a wall.

One last Tip

Good advice here, but one more thing. Even though you have 4 guitars, be sure to put up at least 6 hangers. That way your parents will realize that you still don't have enough guitars.
