I have a Black tele with a rosewood fretboard, and I'm thinking of how it would look with a black pickguard. I've seen a lot of pics of black teles and maple fretboard with this color pickguard, but not many with the rosewood.

Anyone have any pics?

I don't have any pics...sorry.
But I have seen a couple and as a rule, they look pretty good.
Are you going with a solid black pg, or a 3 ply with a color in the middle?

A simple google search for "Black Telecaster" yielded these:

Looks very much like Springsteen's "Naked Lady" guitar he used on stage in the early 90's...an early 60's Tele, refinished in black with a black pickguard and a sticker of a naked woman on the back...
