Oh Baby, Oh Baby! Finished the Deluxe Project
WOW!!!!! That's about all I can say for this little tone monster. I just finished repairing/ reworking it an hour ago, and I've been playing my Tele and my son's LP Special (P-90s) through it. The Tele sounds AWESOME through this little thing. It's a '54 Deluxe 5D3 that I got from a fellow TDPRIer. It didn't work, but with the help of a local amp builder, we found out the problems, and I fixed her up. With new caps, there is no noise whatsoever - just Tweed Tone. Here are a couple pics:
![]() This could be the start of a happy relationship - but I think the Princeton Reverb is going to be jealous. ![]() Here's the front of the Beauty. ![]() And the back. ![]() Date Code also stamped on cabinet? Anyone else ever seen that? I know these should have been placed on the Amp Pages, but it just seems natural for a Tele to be cranking through one of these. Thanks for lookin'! Dean
