Not sure if it's exactly the folks you want, but that should at least get you in touch with someone at Fender who can give you better information.

I would try to get whatever info needed from a local Fender dealer if possible so you would have it quicker, if not then go to email at Fender and cross your fingers that they get back to you.

I got somebody on the phone once, by calling the main office in Arizona (directory assistance) and asking for Customer Service. I did get helped and got a free replacement part in the mail a couple days later. But, that being said, they don't publish many contact numbers so one can only assume, they really don;t want to talk to us. They'd rather we talk to the dealers. Try the HQ in Arizona - you might get a human on the line.

Conversation: Question about Japanese Fender
Subject: Question about Japanese Fender

Hi Fender!

I'm Telmo, and I'm from Portugal, so sorry my bad english..
I want to know if the guitar: Fender Telecaster '62 Custom RW (3-tone sunburst) still been produced by Fender?
This is a Japanese model, of the Fender American Vintage '62 Custom Tele..
So I don't know if I can buy one of these Japanese Telecaster's in a local store, here in Portugal or if these Tele's are not availiable to buy at the moment.
Can I import one of that '62 Japanes Tele's, from this local store?
Japan Fender companie still distribute these guitar?

Thank you for the listen to me, and I'm waiting for an answer ;)

Telmo Soares, from Portugal.

We actually do not offer this model in a Japanese version, only the American Vintage model.

You live in Europe in a EUROZONE country and the British pound is shattered.

Buy it from here for a mere 535 euros.

Fender Japan is a DIFFERENT company than Fender US.Fender Japan is STILL making TONS of these guitars.
