Working on my TDPRI member's cd collection...

I already have Brent Mason's HOT WIRED,
Bill Hullett's TWO LANE BLACKTOP, Redd's TELEWACKER and NO STRANGER to a TELE plus his dvd. Who am I missing? Even though I'm a country guy, I'll probably order one of KBR's as well. If anyone knows of other members efforts and source, I'd appreciate it.

A little outdated, but still excellent.

This is a "TDP Members" subsection on the "Tele 101" site:

All great stuff and highly recommended. :-) CS

Jim Weider

Jim Weider has two CDs out and Stan Martin has at least one CD out. Don't forget Brad Paisley's CDs and Greg Koch posted here last month. Also, Kenny Blue Ray has a number of good CDs out as well.

What about Nashville Guitars... it's a guitar complilation CD with a performance by Reggie Young.

And, if you want to really be complete you'd have to buy a zillion CD's the Reggie, Redd, Lou Toomey and others have played on.

Good Luck

Big Redd-

I've picked up a couple of albums with Redd on the lately and have enjoyed them immensely. He takes a fine turn with the Lucky Tomblin Band which includes Earl Pool Ball and Cindy Cashdollar.

Cindy Cashdollar also has a solo album coming out with Redd on it:

There's also Heybale's Live album recorded at the Continental Club. More fine playing from all on this one too.

http://www.heybale.com/

And there's also some of Dale Watsons albums to check out...

edit: Almost forgot tdp-er Eric Straumanis who put out a fine album a few years ago. You still around Eric?

edit again: Justin Kerr put out a tough little pop album several years ago. Justin, I'm sorry but I cannot remember the name of it.

walter broes... + reggie young

walter plays in a great band called the seatsniffers... check out their best CD "all of this"... roots rock par excellence from belgium... great guitars, great songs...great drummer too...

as far as reggie young goes my all time favorite reggie stuff is with james carr...

check out the essential james carr ( razor & tie ) or if you can't find it the complete goldwax singles ( ace/kent ) which is more or less the same set...

country soul of the highest degree with arguably the greatest deep soul singer of all time...

not too mention tommy cogbill on bass, gene chrisman on drums, bobby wood on keyboards, bobby emmons on organ and the memphis horns! yowser...

too me reggie's playing on this stuff is the finest guitar playing ever laid down on any soul recordings...

also, reggie's playing on the early bobby womack on minit with the same band...

I'm a member, and I'm on CD, so here goes. Not even remotely country(which is a change for me), but you could get the Curses new album.

OK so I'm playing an ASAT, but close enough.
