more on EBAY..

I am very glad that several here take the time to advise of potential EBAY scam and issues..many thanks to all of you for this..

I too am very very cautious with EBAY items which are pricey..

I have sold many hi $$ items and have also made several hi $$ purchases..

Last week there was a Tele on EBAY which I did have an interest in....it looked legit but the intital auction had a very short 1 line description..not enough to satisfy my interest...

I emailed the seller..early in the auction...which I always do when interested in a hi $$ purchase..I received an EMAIL back a day or 2 after the auction closed with a comment that I didn't know my guitars..

I responded by stating that I did know my guitars but was making sure that he did..

The excercise was not about the guitar but rather the seller..the Tele did sell at auction ..I probably would have bid had he emailed me back earlier..but seeing that he didn't it was not worth the "risk"..

I have sold a complete Hartke 350 watt half stack, my 85 Gibson 335, a 90's American Strat..my HRDLX..etc.. each time I was contacted by a few bidders and a repore was established..phone numbers were traded..ddeals went down..

I have purchased 2 Pedal Steels, approx $1200 each..a Yamaha workstation..etc..contacted the sellers and they responded back immediatley..a repore was established..phone numbers were traded..deals were made..

I have also discovered several scammers in this process..but they were quickly routed out..

EBAY is a great society..ya just have to establish some ground rules and stick to them...do not let your emotions for an item take control..stick to the plan...

I have only been burnt 1 or 2 times for about $10 where I was sent stuff that was CD copies of what they said were originals...

good luck..and have fun too..
