It looks like it has "mange"

I think the problem is that the seller is too low key, he needs to hype the guitar up a bit more. For the love of God, why do people ooze on and on about guitars they're selling in this fashion. Why go elsewhere, this is it! Then why are you selling it? Seems to me you'd rather give up your first born.

Ya know what it is? I took an hour or so to do some window shopping on eBay tonight just for recreation, so I guess I've had this sort of listing up to my eyeballs right now.

How cool...

"This is the ultimate guitar for every style from jazz to blues to rock to funk...it does EVERYTHING perfectly and KILLS the competition every time! From clean to mean to scream in no time flat! It sounds great at any volume in any situation from concert hall to recording studio!!! So, why should you buy this amp from me instead of anybody else? 3 reasons:"

This guitar is a guitar and amp all in one. How cool is that?? LOL

"Hurry everyone. Run to see the Egress!" said P.T.Barnum.

he's not selling the steak... he's selling the sizzle!

...and it looks like he's done a good job. Over 6 days left, and he's over $300 already. Nice.

What I don't understand

with these types of sales is if the guitar is so incredible, so one-of-a kind, so perfect, so playable like butta (yeeech I hate that term), such a great deal.... then why are they selling it!!! If it's so great, then keep it. To me there's a point where you can read between the lines of a glowing description. Must say those photos don't help either.

Ah... "professional studio guitarist" - that would explain why he felt he needed to relic it - and also would explain why he doesn't know what real "road wear" looks like!

Oh, me? I'm a bedroom guitarist (now), and I don't relic my stuff.

That thing is just nasty looking too.... :x

Oh no - someone posted a pic... I think I'm going to lose my breakfast....

The first sentence says all I need to surmise that this guy is either blind, tripping or a very bad liar:

"an INCREDIBLE Japanese Fender Custom Telecaster in great condition! ."

What is the 50 years commemoration logo commemorating on a 1985 MiJ Fender?

Someone needs to spank that guy and send him to his room without supper! That's one of the most tasteless "relic" jobs I've ever seen.

Some possibilities???

If the body wasn't such a crappy over gouge...and that overkill middle pickup...I might consider a bid...that soapbar probably roars...and the neck looks sweet..just might have more there in parts than one whole Frankentele...Cheers
