Ebay neck, anyone have an opinion?
Ebay neck
hey, I'm looking for a neck for a project. '52 reissue neck would be nice, but this one says it's made in Japan. Any info anyone? If someone else here is already looking at it let me know, I'm in noooo hurry. Thanks. |

Neck
<li>I wood axe wireandwood66 why no pixs of the butt and if it has any rite-tin on it.
<li>Here from 20,000 feet it looks the part although them tuner holes look a liddo large fer vintage style tuners. <li>I kin sortta cee the "Made in Japan onna back of that neck and thats a good thang couse iffin it is a mid 80s neck yer gonna like the feel. <li>It looks like the string tree waz removed from the rite spot and that the truss plug looks like an old style rather than a hole fer a headstock adjustment like the later ones are. <li>The color and pix of that decal make it look lika aftermarket one cause its sew gray. May jes be the lousy pix. Compare this: http://www.thomaskinkadechico.com/92...headstock1.jpg <li>With this and cee watt I mean bout pixs: http://i9.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/44/5a/b0_1.JPG <li>Good luck and if folks think its the real deal it may go much higher over the next few daze.

Necks
Revelator has a suitable and good quailty ( I bought one!)
neck for $159.00. I should get it tomorrow, PM me if you want an "in hand" description. I bought the V shape though, a little more expensive. No Fender decal needed, http://www.RevelatorGuitarWorks.Com/...ele_necks.html

Thanks Fuzzy for setting me on the straight and narrow.
Dacious and El Capitan, thanks for the links. Is there any reason to buy the Fender neck over the after-market licensed neck? Other than the obivious name on it. I wouldn't put a Fender decal on non-Fender part. I've briefly played the 52 ri and loved it, but it was brief. I guess after thinking about this for a day or two, I need to define exactly what it is want. Thanks guys. |
