What would match a red Tele?

Ok, one of my many tele plans involves a pair of matching Thinline twins. One would be heritage cherry red, see example 10D on Roxy's finish gallery:

http://www.roxyguitarfinish.com/main.html

So, which colour would you do the other twin? Looking for something similar, shiny see through, just another colour. (Doesn't have to be one of those listed.)

Blue, green, purple, white...

As usual: Don't ask why! 8)

Geir :)

Do they have...

a see-thru Lake Placid Blue-ish finish? That'd be nice! Double bound, natch!

Cheers

Blue was my first thought. But come think of it, blonde (white blonde, not butter I think) would be beautiful. Now there are a couple of other differences:

One would be an Esquire. So no neck PU, no pickguard. Just the vintage bridge and a couple of knobs. The other would have a Thinline pickguard and neck pickup.

Otherwise identical.

Hmm... The red would have to be the Esquire. So what colour pickguard would I want on a blonde? The ubiquitous tortoise shell...?

Thanks guys!

Geir :)
