Here's one with Michelle Shocked. I played a few songs with her band at one of her gigs and invited her over to one of mine the next night. Couldn't believe she actually showed up!

Here's one with one of my songwriting heros who has one of the best tele lines ever written in a song: "right now I just need a telecaster through a vibrolux turned up to 10"...

Here's my guitar guard cat. You wanna play the guitar...you gotta pay him first.

Michelle is the cousin of my old bass player friend. Jimmy (not Shocked) and Michelle went to Brian Adams High School in Dallas aound 1974~1977. I went to Skyline and never met her though.

Where's that darn note?

Still learning the blues, but I'm doing so on stage with a fun bunch of guys. If only we didn't have to lug around a 7 piece band and full P.A. for every gig.

cheers,

2nd Take... (pic that is)

Didn't mean to make a second post to this thread, but just thought it only right to at least be holdin' a Tele... I just did a session tonight over at Emmy Lou Harris' old studio here in LA, now called Track Record. I was lucky enough to be there when someone snapped a pic. Proof I exist!

Yep Fuzzy, they are strap connectors, like you'd see on a backpack. Never disconnected yet and I got a black and hot pink strap to hook in depending on my mood. Let's just say I usually go with the black one...

This is that same guitar I posted about earlier... The 82' that I was lookin' for more info on.

Please!

Lets use this pic instead!

[/img]http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4dd24b3127cceb985e320aadd0000001610[img]

Mr. Joel: You are correct sir! All indications say its a '71. The neck has no date (apparently not unusual for these years). The serial number is 300xxx, the pots are dated '66 (1 meg) and the bridge pick-up has a code of 9250 which is from '70. So its probably an early '71. Thanks for asking. Oh, and I'm a '61, no neck date either!

By the way, I guess I'm naive. Whats with the xxx deal on the serial numbers. Is there something sinister that I'm missing?

On PBS playing with Michele Shocked? Please forgive me, I dont know much about her, but I heard she was a folk singer, but I stumbled upon the last song on a PBS type showcase, and there was Michele Shocked, belting out and playin some Rockin-Blues song. And if I'm not mistaken, one of the guitarist's looked a lot like you! No jokin, or pullin any legs here. So was it you? Enquiring Telecaster minds wanna know!
