Any Info on the Reissued Fender Rosewood Telecaster??
Musician's friend recently listed a reissued(?) Rosewood Telecaster. It says it will be available in the middle of May. I sent their customer service person an email requesting more info on it (MIA vs MIM vs MIJ, full rosewood body?, type of pickups, etc.)., but he did not have info as of yet.
Does anyone have any info re: this guitar? It looks to be priced slightly below the AmSeries teles. Thanks, JRich |

There was a big, long thread on this, just recently.
There was a long thread on this, with lots of pictures, just about a week (or two) ago. Had the word "Rosewood" in the Subject field. You can probably still dig it out.

Here's the deal.....
....My local dealer got one in a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not a "rosewood purist," so I thought it was okay. Those who know a lot about the Rosewood Tele were disappointed. The headstock is not also rosewood colored, it's maple. In fact, the neck is maple with a rosewood board. The body is alder with a dark rosewood veneer over it. Black pickguard. 3-Saddle design. It's essentialy a "60s Classic" Tele, except it's made to look (something) like the Rosewood Tele. -Eric
