James Burton's '53 Telecaster was a blackguard but he converted it. That IMO is the most important telecaster in rock an droll history and it was both a black guard and a white guard.

chris frame(ex son volt,currently plays with the coalmen) plays some nice whiteguard blondes. they can be seen in the dvd 6 string belief,not sure if they are original 50's or not. come to think of it, jay farrar also plays a white guard in that same dvd, but its most likely crestin or some other custom or a partscaster

While he also used a whiteguard, his most iconic Tele was a white one with a black guard.

Yup...HUGELY iconic...It later became the Brown Bomber and B-Bender too.
I nominate this Fat bastards Tele...he influenced tons of bands from U2 to Nirvana and just about every 'alternative band':
