Finally finished the first one

Thanks for all the encouragement and help found here, I restarted this project after 15 years when I happened on the buttercaster thread while searching for guitar related stuff. Not perfect by any stretch, but it plays nice.

Very nice! I dig the no pickguard look. Does the finish color have a name?

Hey junk126 thanks, Ice Blue Metallic. Not a good choice for a rookie like myself, but I sure did learn a lot.

IBM is such an awesome color. It is a tricky one for a first try but it looks like you nailed it.

As it has been said many times before, you guys are serious enablers.

DougK, project looks nice, I was given (I don't what I did to deserve it) a set of gibson mini humbuckers that I'm thinking of using for a Tele Deluxe build.

There are some issues that show when viewed from certain angles where the flake laid down. Then there is the rookie mistake I made when soldering the shielding wire for the neck pickup to the back of one of the pots, ouch, pick guard will cover it, but it is going to enjoy a rough life and these are just beauty marks at this point. I am mostly surprised by the fact that I soldered it up and it worked the first time with zero issues, no hum or noise what so ever. This is the second thing I have ever soldered up. The first was a little gem LM364 (I forget the chip number) amp that a friend showed me from Make. Again watching the threads here gave me great confidence.
