Fun with GFS
Nope,no hassles ,just a fun little project ,with a strat whammy ,some Gotohs and an Allparts TRO-W neck.Played it alst night through JPK's Deluxe Reverb ,sounded grrreat................

Nice. I've been thinking about getting one of those, in the same color. (I have an XV-820 that I'm very happy with.)
How are the stock pickups -- Dream 180s? I have a pair of GFS Retrotron "Memphis" pickups that I think might sound pretty cool in that. Or maybe Liverpools would be better...? |

Yeah,the whole guitar with the case (a pretty good tele/strat case) was 200 bucks.
I just took of the parts I didnt want,the neck ,the bridge .... I was on the fence between a Squier tele custom or this Since it was gonna be somethin I was gonna cut up anyway ,I opted for the GFS.I need a cheap whammied humbucking tele with tapped coils for fly in gigs ,so this is it The Dream 180s are really good sounding pickups .9k & 12 k They come with a 4 conductor wire so you can switch to single coils.Sound great in the single coil position too.
