I just converted my CIJ '52 RI into an esquire:

The pickup is a Kinman broadcaster, I upgraded the switch, and I also put brass saddles in the bridge.

I guess this is my 1st post. Odd seeing as I've been lurking for as long as I can remember. Here's a couple for you. The Spitfire is the perfect amp for an Esquire.

What the hell, might as well post mine - an ordinary squire conversion using the Eldred mod - I might modify this with a rotary switch for multiple caps.

In case it matters, the Butterscotch Esquire is pine with a Duncan Antiquity II, the gold one is ash with a Fender 63 Tele pickup, and I have another one that is Fiesta Red made of alder with a Don Mare 0038. All three have the Eldred mod done. I still don't find the front position that useful so I'm considering using that position as a kill switch of sorts.

It now has USA electronics and a Don Mare "Green Onions" pickup.

Man, it's hard not to sound like Steve Cropper on this guitar!

I made the body from a single slab of Mahogany, then used SD Phat Cat P90 and anything that was going spare, i.e. Gibson knobs, Strat input jack etc.

Apart from a single pickup this has nothing to do with an Esquire IMHO.....
