I had a 2007 HW-1 Tele for a while and sold it because I didn't like the new Jumbo frets, couldn't get used to them. I got a MIM Ash Tele that so far is fine, but someday I may get an Am Std. I also had a Baja, but the fret work was terrible, and didn't think a new guitar should be that bad... The MIM has great fret work, the pickups are OK, and it's a little heavy, but sounds and plays great.

People bought them for $400 last year at Guitar Center. This year, they sell them for $550, in mint condition. That's $200 less than you can buy one new--easy sale for a lot of people, and a quick $150 profit to the guy who played it for a year.
Seems easy enough to me. |

i think the problem really is just that they have no mojo. sure, they're great guitars, but they just didn't make anything unique about the highway one
