Neck for my next Tele
Kevin is making me a body to exactly my specs: ash, 2 humbuckers, rear route, all the contours, 1 vol, 1 tone, and a gibson 3-way switch.
This is the neck that's going on it. It is a one piece wenge neck made by WD. I got it when Musician's Friend was blowing out "exotic" WD necks for < $100. The finish is a bunch of coats of TruOil - I lost track of how many coats :) but it's a bunch. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Beautiful neck Tim.
The Tru-Oil finish looks great! I just love the tru-oil finish on my neck. Smooth, fast and purty! Kevin will do an awesome job on your body. Can't wait to see the pix. What type of pickups are you putting in?

As for the pickups, this will not be a tame guitar. I've never had a guitar with EMG's but have admired the 81/85 model sounds in the past so when I saw a good deal on their silver anniversary set I picked them up. http://www.emginc.com/displayproduct... ategoryid=14 It's wierd too because I really didn't care for the Jackson active pickups in my Soloist (they are already pulled out and just waiting for the postman to get fixed). |
