music in San Francisco this weekend?

I'm going to Macworld this weekend, and wonder if anyone can recommend any live music clubs/events for Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. I'm up for jazz, rock, blues, power pop, folk...heck, anything good.

Do Dave Biller or Jim Campolongo have a regular gig in town?

This Saturday:
Mike Stern at the Elbo Room
Dave Weckle at Yoshi's in Oakland
Norton Buffalo and Roy Rogers at Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley

Anyone know about this joints? Hard to get into/tickets?

thanks in advance,
Dave Patterson

Yoshi's is the biggest venue of the 3 probably not hard to get tix. Other 2 are small Mike Stern (I may go!) may be tuffest to get dunno but the Elbo Room is in SF and not far from the conv. center. Sweetwater is Mill Valley those 2 RR and NB are great that's a major drive into Marin from the City. Call em.

Re: Freight & Salvage

Joe,

Thanks for the tip. They have a very impressive line up of acoustic pickers for January (David Grier, Martin Hayes, Pierre Bensusan). Yikes! I'll have to check that place out.

Jim Camp. is a New Yorker now. We miss him.
You might check out Biscuit and Blues not far from Union Square. Some good players there on occassion.

Jim Campilongo

Jim is scheduled to be here on April 5th.
He is playing two shows at yoshi's in Oakland. I can't wait! I wonder if the two sets will be that different? Maybe I will have to stay for both.
I want every northern california tdpri member there. You too fuzzy...

Woo hoo!!
Technically I'm in SoCal but what the hell, I'll have to be at that one! I'll drive up from Fresberg.
