Some gig pictures.

Here are some (a lot) of pictures from a x-mas gig we did. For a change somebody else took the pictures and they are pretty good- as to show the people and the party. It looks like some good times were had.

Very interesting scene you've got over there. In one of the pictures, the shadow from your neck pickup (which is hidden by the mic stand) made it look like you had a neck bucker in there. I had to look twice!

Cool pictures

Must be a lot of fun.

BTW: Did you manage to stop your singer before he dissappeared out the door? That is why they invented microphone cables, you know.

Geir :)

We should be so lucky..... we can always hope for it, but heīs living by the words from an old disco song "stay in the liiiiiiiiiight" (All the time)

That gig was one of the best last year. The people of that country music club had raised money to get us down there, and they even got a plus on the bottom line after the show. Cool

The heads were a bit sore....we left the next day, and had a couple of brews on the ferry.....and there was a bit of a storm, our drummer sat there green in the face, watcing me knock back a couple of cold ones and some sausages with mustard

Looks like it was a great night. The Tele looks great in the pics and you look like you are right "on" it.
Thanks for that.

Hey Baard! how do you find using a thumb pick? I just started trying to use one, but find the end of my thumb goes blue, and then goes numb after a while! Does it get easier?

Never tried one myself, but I am sure it does get easier. Remember when we first started playing the guitar? My first was a soft nylon acoustic, but it only took ten minutes before the fingertips had bloodred lines from the fretting.

I tell you what....

That gig looks like 99% of the Elks Club/Veterans of Foreign War gigs that I did when I was playing in a C&W band through most of the 90's. World's apart, but it all looks the same...very cool. The American flags were a nice touch too!! 8) Looks like it was a success!! Is that a Hughes & Kettner amp that you are playing through? Are they the most popular amp manufacturer in Europe?

I had all kinds of numb and prickling sensations in my thumb in the start. It never went blue tho. You could loosen it up with heat. Just a little. If that solves the problem itīs fine, but it gets better after some months for some reason. I love the thumbpick. It gives a closer contact to the guitar, and a more relaxed right hand pisition, and itīs just great. Iīve been picking exclusively with a thumbpick for 3 yrs. I already did fingerpicking but with the thumbpick the attack and definition on the low strings are better....for me. Just be patient and youīll experience improvement over a long time.Iīm still discovering new stuff with it. It has made guitarplaying more fun and provided further developement, still, after 25 years of playing the guitar.

No thatīs the bassamp. I played without an amp that gig. I do that or use a sf fender tein reverb amp. The most common amp here is Marshall, but for country, older fender amps seem to dominate, and I also see a lot of the new fender amps. Vox is also popular. Tube amp is still king here.
