Telecaster made in Japan Serial number Help

Dear Friends

I need your help!

I have a Squier Telecaster S/N P021016 Made in Japan.

I have no idea what is it for a guitar. That guitar was send to me by mistake by an eBay seller.

I do not understand the serial number

The guitar is white with maple Neck

On the Headstock, we can Read Squier Telecaster, made in Japan , a little Fender logo and the serial number

SQUIER is silver color as well as the S/N

There is no hole in the back of the guitar to enter the strings. We have to put the strings on the front of the guitar. It's a big bridge with one black pick up and the neck bridge is chrome.

If you can help me, I will really appreciate. I do not know what guitar they sent me. It was not a store.

Thanks a lot

Dear Mark

Thank you so much for your help!!! You know a lot about those Telecasters!

What do you thing about the quality and the value of it?

And why I do not have the little hole in the back of the guitar to put the strings. ?

I do not know anything about the TEle. I always had some Strats , Burns, Gretch, Guild etc...

I can tell you that this guitar is like new. I can say mint.

What can be the value of it?

Thanks again , I really appreciate your help!

sounds like a top loader, and not from the golden years for FJ Squires...those are certainly not rare and value has not gone up. See em for a couple of hundred in thses parts.

When there are no string holes in the back those are called toploaders cause the strings load in the back of the bridge instead of coming thru the body.

I dont know what its worth. You might look on Ebay and see what others like yours sold for to get a better idea.

I never saw a toploader before!

HOw was the rea' Telecaster ? Toploader?

The guitar looks new and play very well. The neck is great. But I do not know the value of it

I checked on eBay, and I did not see any Japanese one. Only Korean etc...

I do not know if the Japanese has more value!

Thanks a million for your great help!

By the way , can we convert the toploader to the real thing?
