I'm almost tempted to do this on my very expensive tele. but I don't want to spend the money or screw up my very expensive Tele Deluxe.....wassup wit dat??????jmb? |

I believe Woodman has done a mod, where the selector is in the middle, and volume comes up to the top spot. I'm very tempted to try that.
I've tried the full 180 degree thing. I have one guitar like that. Maybe I'm not totally committed to it, and I can certainly see it helping some players.

I tried it and liked it. SO all mine are this way now. For me it its that the vol is easily grabbed under with my pinky. But I had to use some times 2 fingers to get the switch out of the bridge position with out accidentally changing the volume, now I do that with my piny too. I also like that I never hit it strumming anymore, something I did more often than I liked, and usually when thins where moving along at a good clip. ;) With the heal of my my palm resting on the E/A saddle and that corner of the bridge generally, it does not take a hand relocation to grab a the volume, just a pinky reach down. The other way too a wrist twist or hand movement to get it. Ciao |
