I gotta say I like the Fender about 10x more the squire classic vibe, but that's just me. I hate it when Fender sticks it to us like this. Take for example, when I first started looking at teles about 2003-2004, all I wanted was an American Deluxe in Candy Tangerine (RW fretboard). Well that sucker was 1000$. I couldn't afford that. Well when I finally got enough money together a few years later, the prices on AM deluxes went up a couple hundred dollars. Then they didn't make Candy Tangerine AM deluxes. Well, I got fed up, and decided those preupgrade HW1s sounded better (at least the ones I played and compared) than the AM standard. Well by this point, I didn't have the money anymore. Long story cut short( well about medium length). I ended up getting a used HW1 tele for xmas '05. Then I saved my money again to buy a used BLues Deluxe Reissue last year.

Anyway, this whole mess is Fender's fault. Why can't I just buy G & L?

I played one of those double hummer-thinlines a week ago. Sweet playing axe if I do say so myself. Much better than a comparable Squire I played in the same sitting.

fender MIM is the bane of my existence. i just gave in on the new jazzmaster. i've bought countless $700 MIMs over the years. i hear ya, i'd take that over the classic vibe even though i have a tele deluxe with "similar" tone.

Sweet guitar. Fender is killing me this year. First I was thinking about saving up for a 55RI thinskin. Then the blue flower came back. Now the blonde thinline. Killing me.

That's a killer guitar...the black pickguard is SO much more sexy on the thinline then the pearloid white. Someone on this board was selling a 3 tone burst 72 thinline with a black guard on it a month or so ago...I just drolled over the pics...

So, is this a special edition or a used axe with a changed guard ???!!!!

FYI- These are a limited edition-250 worldwide, according to Wildwood. I have also seen them on Daves website.

I saw one that looks just like that at a local music store in Rapid City, SD, and I don't think they are the kinda place that gets limited run guitars. Is there another similiar model, and this one is special somehow for the 250 deal?
