I Need Tele Help!! Sound Issues
When I start playing my Telecaster, it starts off just fine, but then after about 5 minutes the sound will get really quiet and i can still barley hear it in the amp, then after like 10 seconds it will come back. It does this with all the 3 pick up selections. It repeats this like every 30 seconds after the first time it happens. I dont know whether its the wiring or if its a volume control knob or even just the pick ups.
I had taken it apart and looked inside for any apparent wiring problems in the past and everything looked normal, I just rearranged the wires a little bit and it didnt cut out for a month or so now its doing it again. I have basic knowledge of scematics and im not a soldering pro. Please help me!?!?!

sound problems
My strat works just fine, when i play with it and has never had this issue.
Even right after the tele starts to cut out i can just switch to my strat and my amp works fine. so i assume that its a problem with the tele |

Welcome to the forum Yubtub.
I am sure you will find the answer to your problem. I personally think it is in your pickups. Does it occur on both or just one?

Maybe dirty contact on the output jack, I've had that problem before and the effect is pretty much the same as you're describing. If you twist the plug around while it's in the output socket does the sound come back.
BTW active pickups have a pre-amp built in somewhere in the guitar - you would need an access panel in order to change the battery.
