Aging Effect on White Teles?

Sorry to re-post this, but I asked this question on a previous thread and then that thread immediately died. Oh well, I guess thats life in the fast and furious Telecaster forum!

Since there are a couple of other current threads going about white Teles, I decided instead of trying to hijack one of them, I should just start another thread with my question and try again.

Again, being a newbie to all this I have a question on the effects of aging on a white finish due to a couple of things I have come across lately. First of all on Live From Daryl"s House on Episode Seven, Chuck Prophet is performing with Daryl Hall and T-Bone Wolk - you do have to register to see any of the archived shows, but that is easy, free, and quick -and Prophet's '85 Squier looks rather vintage blond to me but on this thread, Creston Lea, who knows Chuck Prophet and has built guitars for him, reports that the Squier is Olympic White, so therefore I have wondered if 20 years of aging turned the Olympic White to a nice vintage blond?

Thanks,
RFB

Olympic White is an opaque color while Blond(e) is (more or less) transparent.

Therefore OW can never turn into Vintage Blond(e), but it certainly can turn to Vintage White (banana pudding) if it has a layer of nitro on top of it.

The modern poly OW will probably not yellow at all - at least mine shows no sign of it even after more than 2 years exposed to sunlight.

Poly finishes from the 90's and earlier have been known to yellow though ...
