Stunning! Absolutely beautiful!

I am everything Beatles - this would be a "Holy Grail" guitar for me.

Pefect rendition of them (From Beatles VI)!

I am speechless. Wow!

(How do we convince you to build for us)? :-)

Thank you for a wonderful work of art in a somewhat dismal world.

I am so jealous of that ability!

How long did it take you to complete that carving...? Along with layout, preperation, and all?

Hi JJ,This one was a complete guitar,Thats the easy part. It's as simple as buying an American Telecaster, and slapping all the parts on,which is done in 2 hrs.....,and then using the leftover body for the next project. This guitar I got rid of about 2 years ago,to a guy with a Beatles cover band. he was so exited ,that he almost dropped the thing. He was short on cash, and didn't want to wait ,so I got a silver face Deluxe in the mix. I have a few threads here with completed guitars on them. .........ps, I lived in Albuquerque for 4 months ,many years ago,on San Mateo..real nice place !! Hot air balloons ,Sandia mountain...real nice !!

I've always admired jimmybusk's engraved/carved bodies. Now I want to see one hanging around someones neck- playing it. And then the specs.

Then I want to see some of them carvings done on a guitar with an opaque finish, with the carving being natural.

Thanks Colt, The question is.. , How many do I have thats worth showing ? A few didn't come out so hot,so unlike a piece of canvas that you can paint over your mistakes, you have a piece of ash that goes into the crapper. I have a bunch on the shelf that are half done, and it would be a bore fest if I showed them all,and I would probably wear out my welcome here.......,However, i do have 4 that are nice, that I must get around to finishing, that would be cool to show here..Merle, Dandy Don Rich, Buck, and Roy the Stranger. .....Ps, I can never get a "Danny" to come out right!@#$%^&^%$#@! .., thanksagain

You can always bondo up the messy ones and paint them black.

I think i have an Eric Clapton Tele' thread here thats opaque, with only a little stain on his hair and eyebrows. ..The specs are that of a USA Telecaster. Thanks ,Jim

...I wonder if I can run those bodies through a wood planer, and take a 1/4" off and start over?? Can you make a 1-1/2 " Tele???? I think Leo's prototype might have been thin. and those gibson SG's are like 1-1/4 or something. .. I guess that would mean taking off almost 1/4'' off the heel of the neck,....hmmm.
