I guess you're asking this because of what you learned in your other post about your "69 Tele". The 70's and '71's have been going up in price over the past 3 years or so. Time was when you'd see 'em for $1,200 pretty regularly. Now, I see them in the $1,800 to $2,200 range.
Of course condition and originality are a huge factor. If even one thing has changed you start deducting from the price. And a refin subtracts between $800 and $1000 from the price. By the way, well worn guitars of this era are as highly prized as pristeen examples. Abused guitars NO, but well worn, relic-like guitars yes. Good Luck Paul Green |
