Koa Telecaster, anyone?
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I did a search for 'koa' and nothing came up.
Anyone have the Special Edition Koa Telecaster? It seems very similar to the Lite Ash model but with different materials. There were common complaints about the fretwork on Harmony Central but I put more stock into what TDPRIers have to say. Also, according to Fender's specs it's a Koa capped basswood body. On average, would that mean that these guys are (supposed to be) a bit lighter than alder? Bueller? Anyone? |

Welcome telo.
I believe the search doesn't work on words with less than four characters. There are several Koa Tele's around here. I don't know about weight, but all seem to agree that they are beauties.

Yeah, use the Google search box on this site.
Anyway, the Koa has basically the same specs as the Lite Ash (apart from the body of course) but for twice the dough. That might be hard to motivate. The Koa would probably sell better if it was MIA or MIM, even if the price would have to increase a bit. |
