G&L Bluesboy
I've been thinking hard about getting one of these. I've seen a few that are really attractive, with a great grain pattern through transparent finish, and I like the woodiness of the G&Ls I have played. Likely a hollowbody. Anyone own this model? I like the 335s I've played, tonewaise, but they are large and awkward. I thought this might be a way to get the comfort and longer scale of a Tele but with a 335 vibe tonewise? Am I on the right track? Any comments? How does it compare the Tele Customs out there? Thanks.

I have the G&L Bluesboy
And I love it. I've never played a 335, so I can't compare the sound, but the bridge pup screams, and the humbucker is punchy. The quality surpases the Fenders, IMHO. 8)

I took a chance and bought mine off ebay. The seller was first rate and I am extremely happy with the guitar. Its sunburst and solid body and is my first electric in a long time. I'm practically living with the thing as of late. I truly believe that G&L's are the best thing going for the money right now. There may be a Legacy in my not too distant future.

I had one of the 1st Bluesboys that were made the limited edition ones. It looked great played good but the neck pickup was too dark sounding for me and the neck was too shallow. The fretwork was outstanding.
Great guitars unless your hands are senstive to different neck sizes cause all G&L's have different feeling necks. |
