Inside my Tele

When I was installing a set of Don Mare pickups (I love them) in my 2004 Spruce-topped Chambered Telecaster, I found the following marking stamped in the body. Never saw this on any other Tele I have owned. I also own a similar 2006 (same model) that was a Musicians Friend only limited edition and while the construction is the same, the build quality, ash grain and neck are way better on the 2004 guitar and does not have this mark. I was told by the shop owner that the guitar was built in error and the web seems to indicate it was a FSR or Summer NAMM guitar. They also were building the cherry sunburst chambered with a rosewood neck at the same time that was also done as a musicians friend only in 2006 as I recall.
If any one knows the story on these guitars, I would be interested

Yep, bought it new in 04
I imagine it does stand for NATural, but has anyone seem them stamped before? I figured they just painted the bodies as they need to without any selection process.

That's a very common marking on just about all of the USA Models..the Natural Finish Guitars use a Better Quality for Grain appearance and matching.
