You are doing some great picking my friend... and you ain't even breaking a sweat doing it!! If I (in my wildest dreams) could pick like that I'd be making all kinds of facial contortions, but you were cool as a cucumber. Great job!! :D Thanks for posting that.

Totally awesome....I've always wanted to country pick like that and I have no clue...I'm just a straight up Blues player. I want to start implementing licks like that, but that may take a VERY long time!!! You make it look so easy too. :)

Great job Joe!!!!!!!

yee ha

& you've got that classic countrified tele tone, the attack, the reverb, great! it come thru even with the fairly low quality of the encoding & then played on my laptop speakers.

plus you look so relaxed while playing at warp speed. that's a sign of lots of practice.

Thats my fav new lick,
I stole it from Brent & Scotty Anderson
To tell you how
Say were doing the lick in the key of C frist finger 5th fret D string hit one note pick
pinky 8th fret D string one note pick
frist finger 5th fret holding down B & G with middle
and ring finger pluck B&G once
4. pinky 8th fret D string one note pick
5. B&G again once
6.pinky 8th D string one note pick
7start over, let me know if this worked for you

That worked for me Joe! Thanks so much - I owe ya! :D

I've proven numerous times in the tab section that I'm horrrrrible at reading tab and even worse at writtin' it so the way Joe just wrote it up worked perfect for me, but for those who are quick with reading tab give this a go...

am I doing that right?

Wow

I definitely need to "take guitar lesson." Do you do home calls to Bergen, Norway?

That's just great!! Allthough a little daunting for an old man who try to convince himself that it is never to late to learn.

I love all the examples that people post here, regardless of style and chops. Wish people would do more. And that goes for me too. One day I will record something that doesn't get deleted right away.

Geir :)

Nice.

Why is it than when I try and do stuff like that, I go bright red, with sweat running down my face, and I look like my life depends on it? You make it look so easy!

Maybe I need to relax, or turn the heating down, or get some lessons, or give up.
