That fine little mutt, the 80s MIJ Squier Bullet...

Many different models of the Squier Bullet have been made, but this note concerns the Strat-body, three pickup gem with the great maple Tele neck, made in Japan in the 80s. What a fine guitar this is, and such an interesting mix of Tele/Strat. I have Fralins in this one and it's just a joy to play - always bring a smile. Lightweight (the strat body is slightly smaller than a regualr strat), and very enjoyable with that great 80s MIJ Tele neck. It's funny to be blasting through a lead on a nice Tele neck, and be able to reach down and grab the vibrato bar for a little shimmer. Very interesting little Fender mongrel!

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!

I just bought my second one at a pawn shop (on the 24th.) This thing is a little blues monster right behind my Muddy Waters Tele! I spent a good part of Christmas day with a major grin.. and an SRV guitar face..

I watched a mid eighties concert tape of the Steve Miller Band last night. His guitar player had that exact guitar. I kept looking at the body and then at the headstock and wondering what the heck it was.

They rank right up there...

..with models like the Pro Tone Strat as underappreciated gems!

Here's mine....

I don't know if this is anything like what you all are talking about, but this is my Fender Bullet H-3 and I love it! Mine is made in the US, but after 83 these were made in Japan, but the quality was just as good. Great necks! The body's made of pine FYI!

They average about from $75.00 to $150.00 but marketwise they'd have to be dead mint MIA or SQ's to gleen more..IMHO..

Bottom line as always is, what are you willing to pay? Just keep in mind, there are plenty to be found and not to get yourself caught up in the hoopla.. 8)

funny for a budget guitar..

I've bought and recycled several of these.. I have found them with 60's f tuners and fifties single line klusons like they were just using up parts . Granted these were the USA models.
