Indeed!
Cool link - what a great performance and how in the world did you find that on what looks like a Russian site? And how's about the hair on Bill Holloman, the Sax/Keyboard player?

I found a bootleg DVD at a local shop that has a bunch of Danny Gatton performances. It has that entire show and performances on morning shows and clubs. It even has a performance of Danny on a Soap Opera!
Just incredible stuff!

wow. had never seen that clip before. i was sitting there like "why didn't he drink more of that beer?! he's going to spill it all over his guitar", then I was thinking "well, i guess he just doesn't care; it's clearly getting all over it"... then he came with the towel part and i just sat there in disbelief for a few minutes :) nice vid.

Danny's pedal/organ licks give me chills - what a master he was...

This is the best DG video I've seen. The whole song just rocks.
The guy on sax/piano is amazing. I play sax and guitar in my band and I can tell you, my horn doesn't have all the notes his horn has! The guy was just amazing. What a tragic loss. Thanks for sharing this link. |
