Indeed!

Cool link - what a great performance and how in the world did you find that on what looks like a Russian site? And how's about the hair on Bill Holloman, the Sax/Keyboard player?

Wow! Just wow! I miss him too! Good thing his drink of choice didn't come in a plastic bottle, though.

I found a bootleg DVD at a local shop that has a bunch of Danny Gatton performances. It has that entire show and performances on morning shows and clubs. It even has a performance of Danny on a Soap Opera!

Just incredible stuff!

it's prolly the same one you can find on ebay, but most of that stuff is on YouTube. still, i wouldn't mind having it on dvd myself.

I don't doubt that you can find the material on the net, but it's nice to just drop it in the DVD player and have it run while I'm goofing around the TDPRI!

wow. had never seen that clip before. i was sitting there like "why didn't he drink more of that beer?! he's going to spill it all over his guitar", then I was thinking "well, i guess he just doesn't care; it's clearly getting all over it"... then he came with the towel part and i just sat there in disbelief for a few minutes :) nice vid.

I've read stories of him mixing up beer in an ashtray in the studio and rubbing the ash/beer mud over his strings to get them broken in so he could record.

Danny's pedal/organ licks give me chills - what a master he was...

This is the best DG video I've seen. The whole song just rocks.

The guy on sax/piano is amazing. I play sax and guitar in my band and I can tell you, my horn doesn't have all the notes his horn has!

The guy was just amazing. What a tragic loss. Thanks for sharing this link.

Search him on YouTube. There's been quite a few new ones added the last few months. You can never learn enough from the guy.

I just read his book recently which I recommend as well~
