52' re-issue neck fit
Hello, just bought a 52're-issue neck from Japan,to be installed on a 1- piece solid ash body.Is the heel size different on the imports, compared to the U.S. brands? A mighty-mite does fit my body, which is 2 3/16ths.Thanx for any help!!

It really all depends on what brand body you have ?....as a General rule of thumb, MIJ necks are a little tight on Mexican & USA Fender bodies...but can certainly be made to fit...so I guess you'll just have to wait and see...and make sure you install the neck from above the pocket...not sliding it in, cause they have a very slight taper...(but you probably knew that)......

52 re-issue neck fit
Thanx Mellcaster,Now what is the next best plan of attack.Do i make the neck fit the body,or do i work on the body cavity or maybe a little of both.A Mighty Mite neck fits the body cavity nicely. The body was bought from a shop in Missouri. They say it was CNC machined to Fender specs. The problem is in the width fitting in the cavity.Again, thank you for any help on my project,Rockabilly46

52 reissue neck fit
I got it a couple of days ago.Do you adjust the body cavity to fit.Don't think it's wise to sand the side of the neck to fit.All that needs to be done is the 2 front corners of the cavity to fit the taper, when you would drop the neck in from the top.Just don't know the best way to go about making the adjustments.Want to make sure before i wreck a $350.00 neck.Thnax again,Rock46
