Telecaster got me - Need to buy one help

Hi, I've been wanting to buy a PRS for a while now, did tons of research(weeks) convinced myself the Mira was they way to go and now I hear this thing called a Telecaster 2 days ago and now it has me by the balls. I have cancelled the PRS idea and now I have to get one. I just love the fat tone it can give that all the other guitars I've checked can't seem to give.

My question is, I want a Seafoam Green one. Do I have to buy a 62 Reissue Telecaster in order to get that color? Or is there a more inexpensive model that I can buy that offers that color as well?

Thanks
Super

Welcome to the forum SuperSerial your about to get all your answers but it won't come from me because I don't know. I'd try ebay or try searching Seafoam Green Telecaster on google images and seeing what other models were produced with that color. I'm guessing your not opposed to buying a used one. Don't forget that the telecaster is one of the top three copied guitars in the world right behind the Stratocaster and lespaul (maybe not the les paul). If you have any questions post pictures here. They helped me a few times.

I actually bought a Gibson SG before I decided I wanted a Tele and I sold it and bought a tele.

Good luck, don't get screwed

There's a few of them available here...

...but it looks rather like the only Sea Foam Greens are '62 customs, apart from a couple of (even more expensive) relic ones.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum -

Outside of the AV '62RI, very tough call for Seafoam Green. Probably just as tough for Surf Green.

But, check the used Fender section of Dave's Gutiars. I've seen them pass through there and they are usually in very clean condition and about $350 less than a new one.

~$1499-1599 seems to be the price for new AVRI, although some times they go on close out for a bit less on web stores.

Music Machine Guitars has them for $1499

they are also ... Selling one on Ebay for 1,356.00

The Music Machine one doesn't seem to have the cool white binding of the Wildwood version. [edit] doh! I see that Wildwood has them without the binding for $1499 also.
