what "flavor" of tele?

Hey...

I have a 2003 American tele. Can't tell if it's an american standard (or whatever). It's a weird named white (it's soft yellow to me), maple neck and fretboard, and black pickguard.

Serial number is z3060642.

Can any of you in tele-land help?

It sounds like an American Series tele, but if you can post a photo, I'm sure the guys around here will be able to tell you exactly what it is.

That describes my honey blonde Highway 1 Tele.

Probably vintage white - believe it was offered with the blackguard & I like 'em. Post a pic if you can and you'll find out for sure as Ajay said.

Correct - had one myself, American Series.

The Vintage White is supposed to mimic a yellowed Olympic White, and is a buttery yellow color, not translucent like the Honey Blonde.

I think honey blonde is one of Fenders most inconsistent colors. Mine is not translucent like "blondes" are supposed to be. And it's probably better described as banana pudding.

Mine looks closer to #41 with a bit more yellow. But I also remember those glossy US models that came with the black pg.

Sounds like the American Standard that was offered a few years back in Vintage White. It's a yellow-ish white, not to be mistaken for Oly. It's like the color in my Avatar. Nice guitar. I was considering buying one - oh, about 5 years ago or so.

If it's opaque, it's not Blonde per definition. And banana pudding is a good discription of Vintage White. I'd say Fender finishes are inconsistent indeed ...
