Anyone got a lefty Custom shop Tele?

I was a bit disillusioned when I went to the Custom shop website and saw not a mention of left-handed guitars: I thought the Custom shop was supposed to cater for every type of guitarist! (as long as they were loaded, lol). I assumed you'd need some very expensive custom job to get one specially done. Thank God for Southpaw guitars - 'cept the fact they don't ship outside the US! bah! Anyway they have some really nice axes there, including a Nocaster relic and some '62 and '67 reissues. I've always wanted a Tele with a rosewood board - the MIJ looked good but i didn't dig black or sunburst...

I was just curious if any lefties have a Custom shop guitar or have bought from from there...What are your experiences with the guitar? And additionally, would anyone would be my mule and ship one of these babies to me?

Hello Trimac20... I'm a lefty too! I don't own any CS lefties right now wish I did! If I remember correctly, some US Fender dealer agreements prohibits a US dealer from shipping off shore to balance the fairness & equity of other non US Fender dealers. It's pretty common practice with many company's. Which doesn't mean that if I wanted to sell my lefty CS to you... I could. A couple of friends of mind who run shipping dept. at some big music outfits that have told me that the cost of shipping instruments off shore has sky rocketed tremendously...

I've been told in the past that they will do lefties, for as much as a $500 upcharge. Don't know if its true though.

Search some threads started by Elliot Easton, yes that Elliot Easton. He's shared some pics of several of his CS lefties.
