Probably been asked a million times but how do regular Fender pickguards fit?

Steve G: I used Allparts PGs. As with many situations it is not a direct fit - some holes matched & others didn't. Simply glued some toothpicks in those that didn't and drilled new ones.
No, Brendan the 3 holes I plugged are about 1/4" behind the bridge. If you click on the pic to expand you can sorta see them if you know where to look. I touched them up to be a tad lighter than the background and then used a Minwax felt tip stain touchup pen to fake in the wood grain a bit. Up close you can see them but barely so. Thanks infrapista - I'm assuming that black one in your album is an SX.....looks really nice. What's the reliced white one? Jim

Steve: Forgot to mention that I also had to file the PGs a bit to fit properly around the heel of the neck and control plate.
