Looks Like Blue Florals & Pink Paisley's are in This Spring
Looks like Fender is Reissuing the blue florals and pink paisley's again, but this time for $1,000.
Saw 'em on the Sam Ash Website. I've got a (Crook) pink paisley and have always wanted a blue Floral, but I'm not paying that much for one. |

There's a Blue Floral over at one of the shops here. I think they have it marked at $850. Personally, I'd rather have the Pink Paisley.
Why not? If it's something you've always wanted and if you can afford it, that is. Or are you just going to wait until they don't sell and MF or whoever does a blowout? That's a plan! |

They have a Paisley one at the Sam Ash near my office. Nice guitar, but$1000 is a little steep, especially since I remember seeing them at Sam Ash a few years ago for $400. How about everyone make a pact not to buy one at full price so they blow them out later? Ha, ha.

I have an '86 MIJ paisley reissue that plays and sounds superb. I don't know what they're going for used these days, but if you can find a good one, you'll be glad you did. I really, really like mine, which is completely stock. Some of the details aren't period-correct (body radius is too big; the trademark is missing the patent numbers; the serial number is on the bridge plate rather than the neck plate; the pickup is flat-pole and wound with black instead of white string; the lip of the bridge is higher than my '69 Tele and the knurl on the knobs is coarser), but I don't care--the guitar is amazing.
The re-reissues I played a few years ago had a satin as opposed to a gloss-finished neck. I wonder if the latest re-issues will be more accurate to the originals and I'd love to get a blue floral one--but, I'm not going to pay $1,000 for one. |
