Thinline
Hi
I really need to find a dxf, dwg of a thinline body. can any one point me in the right direction? also i built myself a cnc router that has a cutting surface of 24" x 58" now would it be possible to machine a one piece tele? i'm thinking out of rosewood or maple? where the neck and body is cut from one piece of wood? Thanks Joe |

If you were to cut a neck and body from a single piece of wood you might want to do it in stages. That wood is going to move and cup and twist all over the place if you try to hog it all out at once.
Make the rough cut of the board first and then let it sit in a humidity controlled room for a few weeks. Then, cut in a little where the neck is going to be. Not much, just a little. Then let it sit for a a week. Each week, cut in a little deeper until the neck is about 1/4 over the finished size. Then put it on your machine for the final shaping.
