Ash tray ridges
The bridge plate on the new teles does not have the ridges to hold the "ashtray" bridge cover. They're flat. No need for the ridge to hold a cover they no longer sell with the guitars.
I liked having that there as sort of an "anchor" for my picking hand fingers at times. Anyone else share this sentiment?

I like leaving the pickguard off a vintage rout Tele with a double cut Glendale plate, and I use the vintage rout diagonal slot as my anchor.
Instead of sticking a cigarette in there. Howsa that?
