pickguard
because i'm a total beginner with 'building' of guitars, a small question:
to replace the scratchplate (pickguard), you just need to screw out the old one and put in the new one i suppose.. probably a dumb question but i don't wanna kill my guitar.. |

Basically right on standard tele.
Your standard tele design, the pg will just lift up and slide out under the strings. On axes, like the tele deluxe the neck pup is suspended on the pg and you can see this by the screws on each side of the neck pup. You have to loosen or remove the strings to lift out the pg and pup. Of couse on strats, everything is suspended on the pg so it is not as easy to take things apart. BTW, no such thing as a dumb question.... if you don't know, you have find out.
